Still waiting for the snow to melt. That makes it a really, really bad year so far.

gotcha covered Joe.
I am assuming you already sacrificed your old radio shack unit to the find gods.We all have. But HOW did you do it?If,as is normal practice, you shoved it through a chipper/shredder then made marguritas with the pulp...you should be fine. If,like so many unlucky hunters have done you simply wrapped it around a tree, pryed it off and chucked it in a dumpster there may be trouble.

As a catch all appeasement offering I believe you need to light up those old headphones you never chucked.A small ring of iron junk finds should suffice...bit of premium gas(never the venezuela stuff)and POOF.your luck restored.

good luck buddy and let me know how you fare!!!!!:icon_thumright:

Yeah, been skunked on most hunts this year. Only two good keepers and less than 200 clad...and a good part of the clad have been from Coinstar, parking lots, and found on the floor.

Bury a couple of hamburgers and let your little buddy dig em up...at least he'll have good luck digging.

Keep going! You gotta mix it up a bit. Try private yards. Try where everyone else goes, but with a better machine, and put some attitude in it.

Thanks to all tomorrow I bury cheeseburgers and I'm of to bottle dig an old haunt for a change of pace

the calm always comes before the saphire coctail ring....words to live by

Some hunts we've been skunked. Others we've found $7 clad. First gold: 10kt opal ring (beach find in early March). It seems that there is no rhyme or reason to good/bad hunts up here. Could it depend on where we hunt? Which machine we use? Both? All I know is that beach hunts will become much more successful with the coming of the hot weather.

Good luck on your hunts.

Anita

I have only had one bad if you could call it that hunt this year. But I also am trying new areas. For some reason early morning hunts are producing more than late afternoons. My search of old campsites are getting better too. This is my year. I hope it rubs off on some of you.
