What an odd temperature for Jan. 1st in Missouri. It was 60 degrees so I couldn't help myself. Went back to two other training pits before I go back to work tomorrow. The take wasn't as good as the last pit ($47.00), but was worth my while. Three hours netted $36.30 plus these trinkets. Another Challenge coin, this one from the 3rd Bn. 10th Infantry Regiment, two pocket medallions, I guess, with what appears to be angels, the larger one about the size of two quarters with a diamond in it, I doubt if it is real and the metal appears to be some sort of silver color plating, not real silver I don't guess. The smaller about the size of a quarter. If anyone knows what they are, please tell. And finally a silver .925 St. Christopher metal. Not a bad three hour hunt.

Looks like you had another great day!

Congrats on your finds!!!

;)

TimmyNY Training pits are where the troops practiced Hand to Hand Combat, Pugal Training, and Physical Training. Always loosing things there. Great place to search. Again, I only searched for coins above 80 VDI and those signals in the gold range, that's how numerous the finds are. I'd still like to get back and get the rest.

Real neat stuff!
