Headed back to the local sports field again tonight and found 12 quarters, 14 dimes, 2 nickels, and 13 pennies (earliest dates 1960s on all). Also found what at first I thought was a gold ring but unfortunately appears to be brass with INDIA inscribed on the inside. Also an old McDonalds pin. Am now over $100 in total coins for this site. As always thanks for looking. 017.JPG015.JPG

clad meaning? sorry dont use this site much so not used to the terms i usually just go out and hunt :p

That field must have had a lot of daily use by a bunch of careless folks. That is a tremendous haul from that field.

HEY MOSH SOME NICE POSH.

Clad coins refer to dimes and quarters 1965 and later, clad referring to coins made of several alloys of metal steven332. 1964 and earlier dimes and quarters were made of silver. Also refers to Kennedy 1/2 dollars 1971 and after. 1964 was 90% silver, 1965-1970 were 40% silver (also the 1976 s). I edited my posting and changed clad to total coins. Still a lot of field to detect thrifty76now and will certainly do so over time.
