Last night I posted that I found this little 10 X 10 area in this park that was covered in targets. It turned out they were mostly pennies and dimes. I didn't get started until late evening and I dug until it started to get dark. There were still targets everywhere when I left for the house. These were the finds of last night.
This morning I woke up and went on my weekly garage sell search, only to find nothing but junk, not to be mistaken for junque. After that I decided to go hit the penny patch before the park filled up with people. Right off the bat I started digging up pennies and dimes, with a few nickels and quarters thrown in to keep it interesting. Also found was a little aluminium can of Berts Bees wax, and another Chuck E Cheese token (1993). Also pictured is what we used to call Mexican burning beans. You would rub them on the sidewalk and then touch them to someone, and they would burn the heck out of em. They are really berries from the Chaparral bush, and Indians would use them to make a HEAVY sedative by boiling them. We're talking comatose state, I have seen first hand. Just when I was finishing up this penny patch, a mass of people moved into my area for a company picnic, so I headed back to the house. Here are the finds from this morning. All of this came out of a 10 X 10 area.
