Back to the High School

Hi all. Went back to the high school today to try and shake off the bad experience I had at a metro park mid-week. Hit a soccer field today for about 3 1/2 hours. Did OK, could have been better....But now I know it could definitely be worse! A few oddities as usual. Kids drag the damnest stuff to school. A 32 casing, a 9mm casing, a Rotary Club coin, A few charms, a couple of worm weights (I'm finding these things everywhere) and two mystery nuggets. Actually brass I think, but what are they doing in the middle of a soccer field? Oh yeah, & $6.28 in clad. Good hunting to you all~CO2

Not a bad day at all CO2, getting out at least made you feel better I'm sure. $2@hr. doing something you like beats $8@hr. doing something you hate getting out of bed for, at least mentally. HH

Actually Rod, I don't look at the dates. I usually rub the pennies enough to see the memorial, and quarters enough to make sure they're not pre-64. Nickels and dimes just get tossed in the bag because they're too hard to read. I'm going to look into this tumbler thing everyone talks about. Hopefully before I make another trip to the coinstar... ~CO2

I should mention too that all this stuff came from 3" or less. I use a no dig technique I picked up on this site, so it goes pretty fast. Tap the coin, cut a slot, roll the coin up the slot. Works great~CO2
