I got permission from church through my hunting buddy Vino to go back and hunt some more, he has found some incredible finds. I believe he has told me between two churches he has a total of 12 LC's (don't hold me to it) some nice buttons, silvers and other cool finds. Vino told me he had started a thread today with his phone, put a bunch of pix on and when he went to submit it, hit the wrong button on his phone and lost the whole thread. It's a shame, he has some really nice finds.
Now back to my day, I spent about four hours hunting, allot of clad, couple wheaties (1947 & 1944), couple old locks, and a interesting button. I'm going to post the button on the "what is it" forum too. The shank side of the button has threads on it, I believe it's more modern. Here are the pix, what do you guys think?
Thanks again Vino! It was a thrill just being there, far from even being close to done.
Thanks for looking everyone, HH
Brad

The button is definitely early 1900's to WWI era. My first button is of the same era, made the same way and everything! It's really cool to see a button related to mine.

those collar disc are collectible - can go for $20 and up
so don't put it in your junk box
I have gotten more than a few from a WW I training camp

Thank you guys, Mobius, part of my fun is sharing what I found, it's always a bonus when others have found similar things. CM DD, George Washington and allot of the forefathers could have stood right where I'm hunting. It's very exciting. Casper, Twenty dollars is allot better then most of my silver coins would fetch, but just like those I would value them much higher. I always get a kick out of how some of my tokens are worth so much more then even my beautiful Liberty Walker Half, amazing when you think about it. I don't even have a junk drawer, I do have a couple of drawers for buttons, this makes my third military. Relicmaster, thanks to Vino, I'm really having a blast.
Thanks again everyone, metal detecting is so much fun. HH
