Fun to be back on T-Net. It's been over 10+ years and a lot has changed. Living in Oregon and detecting some great sites. Met up with an AMAZING hunter at a local club and it has just been a blast. looking forward to a productive 2025.

Well nothing like being consistent on same date Barber dimes. From a site in Oregon that dates back to the 1880's. This particular location seemed like an old path... But only one area about 20 feet square has given up several silvers. Nearby blackberry bushes makes think this may have been covered up from time to time.

Welcome Back to Tnet :) Congrats on your lately found barbers :)
WHat machine are you using ?

Congrats ! Those dimes are incredible. They both look like they were just distributed to the public and the same person lost both of them at the same time. Both 1908-S, most likely lost the first year they were minted. Very cool ! I would have @
least one of them graded by PCGS or equivalent. (Don't clean them of course) Very nice find.

While yes they are very nice coins and great finds but they aren’t key dates and would be worth less than it would cost to get one graded.

Agree
The coins would get a environmental damage label.
It is what it is.
Great looking couple of silvers though 👌

Grade or not, those would bring $50 ea all day long. Really nice coins! You guys out west find all the S mint coins. They’re very scarce east of the Mississippi.

Excellent looking Barber Dimes - congrats !

Huge Congrats and welcome back! Wonder if that site could have been a farm produce stand?
