Here's some photos of the coinless farm.

I found some cool stuff, including whatever this thing is. I think I can scan the other items I found.

At first I thought it was a cow bell. Candle snuffer? Maybe?

Hope this works...

Beats me what they are.

On the attachments, make them smaller, or Resize them. Also just reply to yourself on here and add the pictures then. Good Luck,

HH, Ringfinder

Thanks ringfinder.

I found the same object last week! Mine have a green patina and still have part of a wooden dowel or pole inside. I think it may be the top of a flagpole.

That would make sense. Was there a screw in the hole?

I sitll have it in my Jeep. I dont think so, but the wood is jammed in. I will check tomorrow.

Here is the photo of a similar item I found a while back.

That looks a little different on top. The thing I found is brass. Or at least it appears to be.

Here's the other stuff.

hold on, one more coming... ;)

Neil's item looks like the top to a window opener. Schools used to have high windows that would be opened with a long pole that had one of those toppers on it. Put the hook part in the window opener ring and pull, the window popped open. It doesn't look the same, IMO, to what Ridley found. Ridley's looks to have a hole in its top, rather than a hook.

Ridley, how long is this thing?

I guess I was not clear...

The photo is not the item I found last week. I said it is similar. The other find, still in my car is EXACTLY the same, except it has a green patina, and is slightly bent on top. I will post it tomorrow.

LOL Neil you were clear, but I was half asleep when I read your post. Sorry.

Here's a scan of it. I found it in the middle of a field. That's why I thought it might be a bell. Now I'm thinking it's supposed to be on a pole.

Sometimes it's hard to figure out what Grampa was up to! ;)

Nice finds,

That's alot of area to cover. A miss can happen really easy. Unless you got a large coil it might take awhile to hit some coins.

Here is the photo of the one I found recently : It has a modern screw holding the wooden pole in place.
See the wood?
