Started with a Minelab xterra 505. Then Equinox 600 with stock coil, xl coil and sinper coil depending on circumstances. Now use a manticore.

Metal Detecting
I have two options in this creek into town or out of town. While into is more productive out of seems to produce slightly older stuff and also lot of aluminum junk.. was all junk, a few eyeballed marbles, Mason jar liner and the big wheel token (I found a worse condition one here before). Then all aluminum junk until I got to first cross street. It seems a section of older bottom is still left and loaded with iron. You'll get a signal and it won't ring up right clear. 3 nails and a piece of barbed wire comes out , then the toy boat all in one hole. It's the 3rd lead toy from this section. The masking is so bad. Same deal with the pontiac radiator badge circa 1935 I think . and the huge lock slide??? You really have to dig everything and gamble.

Stopped back at Cannon ball cellar hole and while it needs a little landscaping in a few months managed a few more old buttons.

Neat little boat. Looks like it's this one from Manoil, minus its wheels

Thank you! Two lead soldiers and a pot metal dagger handle have come from this zone as well as the boat. I'm wondering if someone or someone's older brother threw someone's toys in creek? House is certainly close enough to reach the water with a toy toss.
