Finally we are back in our stride with this Roman Settlement next to the Metal Working area. We gridded a huge area with very little trash & no buttons! Got lots of good finds in the 6 hour 15 mins hunt;

They made really nice coins in Trier... :thumbsup: Perfect day! That bottle top is gorgeous! Never seen such a big piece coming out of a plowed field.

I assume you brought it?(if not nice save) Much easier to buy a cheap example of this relatively common coin (£10 ish) than to find one.:thumbsup:

It's a numbers game to get quality like that. It's not only has to have been lost soon after arriving in the UK, but it has to survive the ploughing & chemicals. Odds are against it.........
