Hey everyone,

Well, I had the itch to get out today and some blistered hands weren't going to stop me. I put some athletic tape on them and got back to it.

I returned to the 1914 house where I found 3 wheaties yesterday. I knew there must be silver in there somewhere, I just didn't expect to find it on my third dig! Even those silver war nickels come out of the ground looking all shiny. I was more selective with my digs today which seemed to pay off. In a little less than 2 hours of hunting, here are my totals:

-1 War Nickel (1943-S)
-3 Wheat Pennies (1916-S, 1941, 1958-D)
-15 Memorials Cents
-2 Dimes

I think there's probably still more silver in that yard somewhere. I have to believe there's a mercury dime if I look hard enough :unhappysmiley:.

Thanks for following along with my hunts this weekend! I'm going to be out of town this week for work but hope to get some more digging in later in the summer. Until then, happy hunting all!

No clue why the photos came in sideways, I tried to fix it but am apparently too incompetent to figure it out.

Congrats on a nice hunt.
With the War Nickel and those wheat penny dates, I would agree, there are some Mercury Dimes in that soil.

Good thing you returned and grabbed some silver
