Back from Florida and cruise!

Hi Gang!!!

Well I had about 6 hours of good beach hunting time while on my recent vacation. This was probably the least amount of finds I've ever had while doing any kind of detecting. I only found $1.80 in clad and a little trash.

But the time was not wasted by any means...

1. I enjoyed fabulous time on the beautiful beaches of Anna Maria Island.

2. Met up with another detector, Bill Gent who I met on this forum and enjoyed hunting with him.

3. We met 2 other fine detectorists, one I believe said he goes as Harold from Florida. He was nice enough to give me a sand scoop he was not using so My hubby and I could throw away our awful homemade scoop we were using!

4. Introduced detecting to a couple I met on the beach. They went out and bought a bounty hunter and I ran into them a week later. They found a nice silver chain just down the beach from me and were so excited. I think they will be hooked like the rest of us. Oh and the wife was using the worst technique you ever saw!!!

So...it was a great trip to Florida to metal detect...oh yes and we enjoyed the cruise too. LOL

It was sure nice meeting you people also, and glad to help out treasue hunters, my friend and i are regular water hunters and that day was kindof bad, too much sand on the beach, but picked up a couple of coins up in the sand, nice talking to all of you and may your scoops be filled with gold.
