Wow! What a great eight days. 
Stayed at the "The Cove" on Paradise Island. It was unbelievable. Spent seven days on the beach. Beer was $7.50 a can! 
My wife ordered a room service hamburger the first night we arrived and it was $36.00. 
There were two guys on the beach scooping up all the gold jewelry. They both had Minelab Excaliburs and the one guy was digging every two feet and the other guy was swinging so fast he wasn't getting any hits. He was also about 10 inches above the ground. I think it is amazing when detectorists talk about having bad days when they don't know how to swing a coil. Oh well. I didn't take a machine and I regretted it. From my travels the last few years to Hawaii, Maui, Aruba and the Bahamas it looks to me like the machine of choice for the beaches is the Minelab Excalibur. Guess I will just stick to my E-Trac's and the local parks and schoolyards. Happy hunting to everyone!
