since they are not off limits till the spring.

I went over today.

Parked in the area where the original Park road entered



Probably 100 years ago













I would have stayed longer however I saw a truck parked at a spot that made me very curious if We had a poacher in the areas that are off limits till the spring.
So I packed up & drove around instead of walking through the woods
but by the time I did, He was leaving
so no idea what his purpose was.
or how long he was there.

Anyway in the south woods, My gas Rebate

$1.28 (half a Gallon)



Trash, Surprisingly Light where I walked.

Well, Jeff, as a guest, I do try to stay polite. You mentioned the south woods when we got there but since you weren't going there, I stayed out. Leaving it for your convenience. After all, it's too hammered and too far away for me to even think about trying with any regularity. LOL

As far as a "poacher" (sic pirate) goes? Well, when one posts on an internet site everything there is to know about a site. Especially if you give out those words which all pirates live by, "this area is off limits 'til Spring". They WILL start showing up at all hours of the day/night. Even if they have to spend some of their ill gotten booty to hire a personal jet just to get there.

Were there any new marks from a personal bulldozer? Jackhammer? LOL

I was perfectly happy with what we did there. If you need any help finding stuff when something opens up, just let me know and I'll plan another excursion. It is a lonnnnnnnnng way to go for an indian head cent though.

right now the Park People have decided to clear out areas of woods that have been uninhabitable
for as Long as I can remember.
they are citing liability issues because of short tree stubs etc,
and fear someone may trip and Gouge an eye out or worse.
they are "Requesting" at this point that we allow them to do their work First.

Personally I would like to see them put up No trespassing signs in the area till then,
but was told even Caution tape is a bit expensive, So I guess they are
just hoping for the best.

the woods I am hunting now will be turned into a parking Lot.
But they haven't started cutting in there yet.

I don't like hitting the same place 2 days in a Row.
I do it on occasion , but usually get skunked the 2nd. day.
But will be back over tomorrow if we don't get rain.
Temps go downhill starting Saturday

Actually the Only downside will be the cars driving over it and packing the ground flat.
They will be removing at least 99% of the trees , and maybe plowing it Flat.
they will not be Black topping it & I doubt they will even purchase stone.
odds are it will just be more parking space. the present parking space is all grass also

As long as they don't require all who go into the woods to be bubble wrapped, so they don't hurt themselves, that would make finds retrieval a little...difficult!
I would think there would be more lead in the woods.

they are finding lots of trash.
most likely allot was blown in over the years.
