They appear to be host rocks with what appears somewhat to be Alamandine Garnet attached. It is really hard to tell for sure from the pics!

I dont know where you are from,,but the top pics look like a fossil I used to find in TN. Same colors and textures as those.
Tennessee,I have multitudes of them lol. Care to post any pics

That is what I first thought! However, the fractured crystal look of the one on the right in the top pic is why I wrote Almandine Garnet but I am still unsure due to the pics.

I don't see any structure for garnet and the luster does not appear to be crystalline enough. But yeah they could use a good cleaning for a better pic.

Any tips on how I shoud clean them. Would using a Dremel be a good or bad idea?
