Hi guys
I am getting back into detecting after over 20 years and
I have got a new cz-3d this week.
I went out for the 1st time in decades lol
I am learning the machine and was lucky enough to get a couple
of wheat pennies and a very worn 29 merc Grin
Does anyone out there have any tips for me on the cz-3d ?
Any help would be appreciated.
I forgot how dirty your fingernails get lol but man it sure is nice.
Thank for any help guys and gals

Welcome back. You picked a good detector to come back with. I have found many deep coins and relics with mine. The 3D in the factory preset is pretty much ready to go other than ground balancing it. One thing I have noticed is that if you get a repeatable signal (on the number 4 disc setting) but it doesnt pinpoint directly over the place you are getting the signal a lot of times it is trash.

I run mine on the preset that way deeper targets sound weaker. I like this especially if I am specifically looking for deeper targets such as bullets.

Thank you
The weather is going to be cold but sunny
tomorrow I can not wait to get back out :P
Thank you again for the tips

One more tip is you can detune the target by pressing the pinpoint buttone while the center of the coil is near the target. Not directly over it but close. It will make the pinpoint area a lot smaller so it will be a lot easier to get right on with it. The 3D pinpoints real good without doing this it just seems to make it even more accurate.

cool I tried that and it helped a lot.
also turning the volume down seemed to help.
I went to a really old park and loved all the dif tones.
No keepers from that park but a 1911 wheatie from an old home.
thanks for all the help
I have the dvd commin that will help too
once again thanks

One last thing. I usually run mine in enhanced mode. It's a killer on nickels and deeper bullets also ring in as high tone.
