Here are an axehead and a mystery item I could use help IDing.

Axehead found on a property thats house dates to the 1870's. Dimensions are 6¾"x4½"

The "mystery item" was found in a city lot that has been open since the 1850's or before. I've dug some neat railroad related pieces out of the same lot, some other nice relic pieces and a ton of old coins too.

Do you think the axehead would be worth restoring as a show only piece or is best left alone?

Thanks for looking and for any help rendered.

The Axe head looks a lot like the one I found on easter Sunday. I would either put it through electrolysis or leave it alone...

sent from a potato...
