Today was an AWSOME day filled with a bunch of firsts. I purchased a minelab 800 and just a few hunts in and it’s already paying off. I was out hunting with my twin brother just outside philly. We started off near a creek and ended up in an open field.

I found my first sterling ring. It was a 31 on the 800. I also found a $50 Montana centennial which is super cool looking and I’m still baffled We found it. We also found a collar button which I believe is post WW11. All three of the finds were in the last half hour of searching. After the cool Montana 1964 centennial that resembles a Humbert $50 gold piece which made my heart skip a beat since there worth a cool $200,000 we found the ring just ten feet from we’re we were parked. This is my first post so im gonna attach some images and hopefully it works. I also took a picture of the trash just to show it wasn’t just the treasure we found. Lol.

P.s. I posted this on the wrong forum so I reposted it here.

Very nice finds !!!!

Nice finds! you definitely have a great spot to detect. The Army Medical Corps collar disc is early, maybe as early WW1 or WW2. The ring is also very cool and might be military related as well. The crossed arrows insignia was used by the U.S. Army Indian Scouts as early as 1890. It was phased out after WW1 but came back in WW2 as an insignia used by 1st Special Services. Not to say that's what it is but it's a distinct possibility if it was found with other military related items.

Wow that’s pretty cool! The history side of things is a huge proponent to the thrill of the hunt. Thanks
