Got out with Rick (NS) today hunting some feilds that a farmer has given us permission to hunt. Rick promissed him a silver dollar a while back and today Rick came good on his promise with a beautiful 1935 Canadian silver dallor, the first year they were issued. Kudos to you Rick. (I should have got a pic or 2)
We hit 5 fields today, all owned by the same farmer. I did pretty good landing 4 coppers, an 1854 New Brunswick penny, an 1837( I think) Stiver token from Guyana and 2 toasties. I also got a wonderful little child's toy bowl, 2 flat buttons, 2 lead seals and some other goodies.
Rick managed to add to his copper count by 3 which brings him to a mind boggling 84 for the year so far. Well done Rick. He also found a 2 Lb chunk of lead, a crotol bell and 3 King George the VI pennies plus the usual suspects found in the fields.
Here are Ricks finds for the day.
HH everyone,
