July 28th and 29th will mark the inauguration of an exciting new event on Florida's fabled Treasure Coast. The first annual Treasure Exposition is to be hosted at the Holiday Inn Oceanfront Resort in Cocoa Beach and will feature a variety of displays and seminars. Historical documentation hints at a known shipwreck in the area and a noted psychic has a confirmed belief that in the area lie cannons, precious stones, and gold and silver bullion and specie. Displays will feature a sampling of both land and sea artifacts & treasure and displays by retailers of treasure locating equipment. Seminars will be highlighted by a presentation by marine archaeologist Robert Westrick, noted 1715 fleet shipwreck historian. The event is open to the public ($5 adults, 10 and under free) and runs Saturday from 9:00 – 7:00 and Sunday From 9:00 – 4:00. The Holiday Inn Oceanfront Resort is located at 1300 North Atlantic Avenue in Cocoa Beach.
