Hello everyone!
Today I detected some interesting curb strips but they yielded nothing!!
luckily, I was near the old park where a couple weeks ago I found 5 V nickels in a day so I walked over and hunted a narrow strip of steep hill between a cement staircase and a wooded area. It was littered with broken bottle from the 40-50s and old pull tabs. I dug everything and I mean everything, probably close to 100 pull tabs. Found over 10 nickles but none old.
Found a couple of wheats then got a sweet 11-47 signal that ended up being a 1958 silver Washington.
Then, I found a sunbaking 1942-D Walking Liberty half dollar!!
Also, found two silver Roosevelt l, a 1948 and a 1954.
near the end found a 1935 wheatie and an 1898 Indian head penny in the same hole!!
Found a super cool 5 cents in trade token from Finnen and Holifield. I’m assuming it’s from here in Birmingham but it’s my first ever hexagonal token so I’m very happy!
Finally, give credit where credit is due! Last week I commented on Washingtonians post when he found an Indian and said it’s been awhile since I’ve found one and got one the same day!
Today, I commented on mddavis3’s post about his walker half saying it’s been 4-5 years since I’ve found one and now I find one today!! Thank you guys for transferring some of your luck to me, haha!
