Anybody recognize what this car this clock is from? The face is about 3" diameter. The patent dates on the back are 2164976 and 1931251.

Looks like it is for a 53 Buick.

My thought is it's 1950's vintage, they apparently supplied clocks to a few different makers, as well as the aftermarket. Pretty cool find

Both patents are from the 1930's, with the more recent being granted in 1939: http://patentimages.storage.googleapis.com/pdfs/US2164976.pdf
But of course these may have been used for some time... dang, why didn't they put a part number on it!?

the orientation change at the numbers 4 and 8 and the 6 oclock adjuster were common to vdo.even the font of the numbers.I know they supplied vw and others but a place to start

Different color, but the mounting tabs are the same.
