Dave Mack just posted this

In case you are interested in listening in, we have been informed that the California Supreme Court will provide audio streaming of oral arguments for the very important Rinehart case this coming week. You can find the place to listen in right here:

Supreme Court Begins Live Webcasting | California Courts Newsroom

The case is set to be heard at 2 PM this coming Wednesday, June 1st. Each side will be allowed 30 minutes. It is not unusual for the justices to ask questions or make statements to the attorneys in these types of cases, which can provide some insight to the way they are leaning.

I have also asked our attorney to provide a summary memo that will be linked to our June newsletter in about a week.

I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone my personal best wishes and a meaningful Memorial Day,

Dave McCracken

Just a heads up, the court JUST started this and June 1st will be the very 1st day of this in the LA courts so there may be issues. At least there will be the Buchal report as Dave mentioned just in case

I have been told that the LA court is ahead of schedule as they are suppose to have video and audio up and running.

I'll be tuning in for sure! Granted I know we most likely won't have a judgement but I'd like to see this case and since I'm not going to drive from Arid-zona.......

Me to...

I was going to go until someone said it wasn't that important....:BangHead:

It would help immensely if we had the case #?
That way we could look it up!

Actually I'm wondering how much the states lawyers are going to sound like"Dizzy Izzy". This could be a great example of how to get false scientific evidence accepted as factual data and how gullible the courts really are.

Per the clerks office the link won't be up until 1:45

Well now what happens?

Sorry Hefty, missed this one. The court has 90 days to reply (really they have more time that but it becomes a pay issue after 90 days). Typically the court has formed a rough opinion of the case based on briefs when they call for oral arguments. This was true of the 3rd Appellate as well. My own personal feeling is we will see it sooner than later and calling it in the 30 -45 day range but wouldn't be surprised to see it even sooner - again, just my own opinion. The 3rd was real fast but it took some time for us to get it to be published. I'm still waiting for the New 49ers newsletter to come out as it should have a nice review and James Buchal's review is suppose to be there but I haven't heard he has completed it yet. I know Dave just did the first summer outing this last weekend that is also slowing the newsletter from coming out.
