BH Tracker IV...saving my clad for a Tesoro SandShark
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
I am looking at buying myself a Christmas present!!! Can's decide between the Garrett ATpro or the Tesoro Sandshark. My only experience has been with a BH tracker IV. I live in the Puget Sound, which I am pretty sure it is highly mineralized, so saltwater hunting is a must. However, I also like to hit up parks, old homes, etc. I like the idea of the display on the ATPro but also the lifetime warranty Tesoro offers, they just seem so old-school looking. Anyways, I would really appreciate some input, or if another detector in that price range comes to mind let me know. Thanks!

Only buy the SandShark if you will be hunting WET sand and water 90-percent of the time. If you are going to hunt DRY sand and dirt 90-percent of the time, go the AT Pro route. You NEED two machines (PI and VLF) if you are a dirt / beach hunter - OR a Multi-Frequency VLF detector like the Minelab Sovereign. It is not cheap to hunt saltwater. Did I mention the wet sand scoop at $125.00+ is also a must? I have an 8" and scoop if you want to PM me.
