Well, Its been about 2 full weeks of finding ZERO Silvers.
So I was pretty amped this weekend hoping to find anything. Went out with Jcobb on Sat and hit a few areas, ended up asking some workers if it were Ok to dectect the house they were working on.
Which turned out good! found a Rosie right off the batt. So my streak of nothing was finally over. Also found this 1917 Wheat penny that was in Awesome shape.
We went and hit another spot we had never hunted . It was full of junk and my first good target was a 1913 Wheat laying on top of the ground. It doesnt look like it was ever even in the ground.
On Sunday we meet up for a quick hunt, and walked into this old field that used to be a 1900s school house. First target was reading 85-86 at 4"..Dug down and found this beautiful Merc!
So happy it wasn't anther damn Rosie..lol
About 10 minutes later I got Another 85-86, but when I checked it another direction, it was a solid 90. So Dug down and pulled out what I thought was a token, Then I wiped the rim and saw SILVER!. I knew it was an older quarter because it was pretty smooth.
Turned out to be a 1899-O Barber Quarter! I haven't found one of those in 3 years!
Whats great is now Jcobb and I have a new place to completly clean out. Ive been to this place in the past and only pulled Wheats, So there is still hope!
This brings my total Silvers for the year up to 46! Hoping to hit that 50 mark before the end of the year
thanks for looking
