The Atocha ,which sunk off Key West Florida in 1622 has given up more bounty.Over the weekend ,salvors recovered another 1/4 million in gold bars and other relics. That's all that was said.I just heard this on the local news,if anybody can provide a link,it would be much appreciated.I'm off to work......

Many many years ago. Mel sent me a letter, he was looking for investors.
This was before he found the Atocha. I thought he was an x chicken farmer
nut. So I didn't invest. Guess who's laughing now?

RIP Mel

Yes, he was one-of-a-kind. He also needed divers. As far as investing went, you gave him $1000. If he found treasure that year you got a split. My good buddy gave him $1000 that year he found the motherlode. He got a beautiful Gold coin, silver coins, a silver ingot I think, and a copper ingot that he used as a doorstop. A computer somehow decided who got what. I don't see my old friend that much anymore, even though he tells me to come by anytime. If i see him, and y'all are interested, I may be able to take some pics and get the story of his take. It was a while ago.
