AT Pro

Best not to mess with camlocks. Just take a phillips screwdriver and loosen two screws on bottom that connects housing to the shaft. Install new batteries same way the old ones were removed - turn detector on to make sure..even a screwloose like me did it wrong one time. Tighten screws. I usually replace my batteries when the bar just hits one and don't wait until the detector starts acting up.
So you have the same problem huh?

I had the exact same issue. Diertdoctor is correct about extending out a couple notches. Worked on mine. You don't want to hassle with carrying a screw driver around and them having to unscrew the dang housing from the shaft each time to change batteries. Love the AT PRO!

Just adjust that camlock down out of the way a bit... and if needed extend from the bottom. No problems with battery changing after that

It's in one of Garrett's video and or manual on proper methed in putting together the AT to avoid this. Check out your manual or look at Garrett's videos on their website...
