I don't know which 13" coil you are talking about. They have a 12x13" tornado and a 13x14" storm which I have on my ace 250
This is from my experience with my 250 I know is a different machine but maybe this will help.
Ok I'll break it down.
-Cheapest place to get nel coils is golddiggermetaldetectors.com they are the only distributer in the US and their are cheaper then ebay and the Ukraine site.

-I have 2 wifi routers, an inground dog fence, and power lines across my front yard so take this as you want. The stock coil I was able to run full sensitivity in my house without any problem. With the NEL I can only turn it up to 5 or 6 out of 8 on the sensitivity before goes crazy. From the what I have read this has occurred to people with the garrett dd on the 350. I attribute it to being such a large coil. Once I get about 50 ft away from my house I can turn the sensitivity all the way up.
-the coil is heavier then the stock but it's no where near what people make it out to be. It is a lot lighter then you would think.
-the quality it nice. They had some problems with the cable location on their older coils but they have fixed the problem on the coils they sell now. The material isn't the ring hard stuff the Garrett coils are made of but they are sturdy and I attribute it also to keeping the weight manageable. They come with coil covers and a heavy duty bolt that you can tighten down and holds the larger coil in place when setting it down.
-this coil really really hits hard on the metal. If there is a coin in the ground is no joke at letting you know. With being such a large coil and so strong it will pick up everything in the ground so you really have to discriminate. I used to run all metal mode but between the area you cover and it's sensitivity I don't with this coil.
- pinpointing isn't bad takes a little bit more time but for coins I dig about a 4 inch plug and get it.
-in my opinion unless you are hunting big open areas without anything around and clean ground I wouldnt get the larger attack or big. You will pick up too much stuff per swing and it will be counter productive. I got this coil for depth and I have no worries about leaving anything in the ground for the reason of being to deep. I think the storm or tornado are good choices.
Here's my air tests the reason I tested the nel at 7 sensitivity instead of 8 was because of the reasons I said above but here are the results
