AT Pro settings for gold jewelry?

I have found just a few gold pieces since I got my AT Pro. Just wondering what you think would be the ideal setting for pulling some more gold out of the ground. I won't be going back into the water until next spring, so will be hunting park land and dry sand. How low does my iron setting need to go so that I don't miss the little ones? Do I hunt in zero mode? Any suggestions will be appreciated!

I hunted in Zero mode in the water but for park land I'd set Iron at 30 since I have some white gold womens ring that read at 35 to 38. Lots of hunters miss these with the big rocks because they are to lazy to dig "almost Iron."
