Ok, I owned an ACE 350 and loved it, but then moved to an Etrac... The Etrac was amazing at ID'ing targets but terribly awkward to swing and read the screen. SO, I'm looking for my new 'go to' machine. The CTX is WAAAAY too much money, so I'm leaning toward a Whites machine.

Question - I would lean toward an AT Pro but I seem to always be reading about quality problems and glitches that seem to pop up sooner or later with them. To the ATPro users, has this been your experience as well?

I've had my ATP for 5 months. I leave it in my truck all the time, change batteries every 30 hours or so, and haven't had ANY issues. The beast hunts deep, the target ID is typically bang on, and with the 5x8 coil is light enough to swing for 8+ hours.

No major problems here, and mine has taken a beating so far

Def, good to hear guys.

Had mine since March, and hunt about 20-30 hours a week. I don't abuse it, but I don't baby it either. I have heard stories, of batterie holders breaking( when dropped............duh), cuffs snapping off, and other problems, I have had no problems at all' and if you do, Garretts Customer Service is awesome. Mine stays in the Jeep, until it gets real cold, ready to beep into action! I don't think I could have picked a better machine, for my first one, love it!!

I have had my ATP right at one year. It has been in the back of my truck since April and probably have 350+ hours and not one glitch. I thought I had a problem once but i didn't have the cable properly tightened and when I tightened it I haven't had a glitch since. I have the 5x8 coil and I am 69 yrs old and can swing it up to 4 hours at a time

There are horror stories about the ATP when they 1st come out but Garrett addressed the problem and everyone I have talked to is satisfied with the ATP. heck they use the ATP on the Digger show and they like it because it is so versatile. There is only one guy on Tnet that constantly trashes it but he trashes most everyone if he don't like their posts.

No issues with mine either, over a year swinging it too.

Yea...I thought i was having issues when i first bought it...But it was OPERATOR ERROR....I dont Abuse mine...But i do use the hell out of it...broke a couple arm cuffs...But Garrett backs there machines ...they sent me extra ones just incase it happened again...So what did you do with the Etrac?...thats actually next on my want list....I have a buddie i hunt with that finds alot of good stuff with it

No problems here, had mine since early spring, the only personal complaint I have is I wish I had ordered 5X8 DD coil sooner.

I love mine......i did break a battery holder(dropped on a cold morning) but garrett had a new one in my mail box in 2 days! GET YOU AN AT PRO!!!

Exactly my perspective!
Had to hit a lot of spots over yet again after i experienced the 5x8 just to lose that "nagging" feeling of what else is out there!
