Hello, I am MaryP and brand new at treasure hunting. In fact, I can't even get started because I can't even figure out my machine!! My Dad gave me his magnum420. It worked last time he used it but I am not sure if it works now. Probably operater error. Sooo I am looking for instruction. I have an ancient manual but not much help.:key::BangHead:

Have you tried to see if there is a video on YouTube? Sometimes ebay will have user guides you can buy,you might try that.Good luck and welcome to TN.

1st - I noticed this is your very first post - so, welcome aboard from the great state of Pennsylvania (USA).

2nd - You didn't mention your state (or country) - but you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting your state for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

3rd - Never heard of your MD so I searched

and found Inherited a relic... (Jan 28, 2011).

I live in New Mexico in the Gila forest. I read the relic thread. My problem is I tune it like the manual says and get a constant tone. Never changes.

I did search u tube to no avail:tongue3: I will try more researching. Thank you!

Welcome to Tnet! If you wave a coin under the coil and don't get any reading, something is wrong with the detector. I've never heard of that detector either and I've been doing this for 43 years now!

Welcome from SoCal, HH !!!!!!!!!!!!

try this video..it is mainly a depth check ( air test ) but it would be abole to contact the person who has it. They might be able to assist.
