Found this one today about the size of a US half dollar date says 1932. I need an ID on this one. Looks like it may have been gold plated once

I was thinking Olympics related with the five inter-linked rings on the side of the coin but the Olympics summer and winter were both held in the U.S.A. that year, but maybe it was for that countries participants from their own country some type of participation medal.

Interesting find. This one is silvered over bronze and from an Olympics memorabilia auction in 2001:

"Japanese Olympic 1932 Trials in Korea for Los Angeles Medal. Silvered AE, 33mm, by F.S. Athlete with Olympic shield, building in background. Rev. Japanese legend over "1932". Korea was occupied by Japan at that time - hence the Japanese legend. Koreans were competing under Japan's flag. With ball loop and ring, and yellow-white-yellow ribbon (ltly. soiled, stained and frayed spot.) Medal EF. Interesting period document. ($175)"
