Had a detecting session yesterday on one of my sites : it is only March but was in shirt sleeves, this good weather is too good to be true. only good coin was the Roman As. of Antoninus Pius.
My first As, of his. Shows : Britannia seated left on rock. SC in Exergue. Think it's Britannia's first ever appearance on our coinage, She is still on our 50pence piece.
10.8 gram and 25mm diam. RIC 934. on Antoninus Pius, Roman Imperial Coinage reference, Thumbnail Index - WildWinds.com

Very Nice, I love the old coins that you find on the other side of the big pond.
I am lucky if I can hit early 1800's in Michigan.
Thank you for sharing with us.
Happy Hunting

I think the first Britannia was a little earlier on the coinage of Emperor Hadrian, still it's a type of AS reverse that I haven't found (off the top of my head) & its a bonus in that relatively good condition. I'm getting ready to go out for the last day in Mar & our Roman count so far is way off target, so we hope to scoop up a couple today & I can only cross my fingers for the condition!

very nice .you will find aures neer it.
