Here are some things I found today. If they are just rocks, please don't be offended. I think any person would have picked them up.

just more rocks
but you knew that.

Wrong. I thought the top piece was for grinding small amounts of grain. The triangular piece, a wedge or chisel and the quartz piece had been worked, but bad light did not allow the pic to show it.

Please understand that myself and others are sincerely trying to help you figure out which are artifacts and those that are not. It is fustrating at times, but look for signficant working on the object. Here in Montana I find a lot of material that has some minor flaking that was caused by natural occurances. Look for consistent flaking that is in a uniform pattern. You may want expand your knowledge by reading books and find someone in your area that can give first hand wisdom. I sincerely encourage you and wish you the best in finding some awesome artifacts. Good Luck!

These pics came from cyberrug.com. My quartz piece has the same hafting style as this one.

Mine is rounded rather than worked flat. Maybe two different tools, but hafted the same . I think mine was for working harder soil than the one from their site.

Here is another piece from their site. I thought my wedge was really nicer . That one has no apparent working that I see, but it has a nasty price tag on it. (mine does not. It's not for sale) Lol
And lastly look at this grinding stone they have for sale. Mine, once again is nicer .

I don't post these things to be a pain in the neck. I see these images on the net, find some of them, show them off and ask for some advice, and then I'm made out to be an idiot. Nah , that don't float. I'm not mad, but do want to be taken serious. If you don't see any thing or think my stuff is natural, tell me why. Vice versa , ask me why I think a piece to be a tool if you question it. We can talk like grownup men, and both learn something. Don't do me like old digger. Say nothing, just put child like images of a head banging idiot. That isn't right!!

Thank you! Really. That head banging just well... I'll forget about it. I posted some pics that were online at an auction. Some stuff I find , I would never pick up if not for these sites like westernartifacts.com . Lots of stuff there looks unworked, and over priced. I don't sell, but do like browsing in order to gain ideas. Thanks again:-)

He has a valid point my friend. Your using shape as evidence of being an artifact. It takes more than that. You have nice artifacts....look at them..compare them to what you just posted. There is more missing than time and care to make them better. There is no sign of repeaditive flaking or any other man made alterations on those. Why don't you see that?

Please don't get your Ideas from stuff people try to sell. My God some of that is hilarious.

:Nature forms trillions of rocks into various shapes, billions of which man's imagination forms into shapes our eyes see and millions of them fit into man's hand, but in the end they are still just rocks.

No one is implying your an idiot, if they were I would step in. I honestly see nothing in the rocks that indicate anything other than rocks. Your first picture you thought was for grinding should have some sign of wear different from the rest of the stone. Now maybe it was used once or twice and discarded, no way of ever knowing. Thing is do you want to collect maybe touched or collect worked artifacts.
