Looks vintage. Is it ceramic (china) or melmac? Is it a plate, tray or a coaster?

Strange size and shape actually. I guess could be a tip tray. I reckon it has no identifying marks on it?

nope diggs...only think on the bottom is a couple minute marks for the tripod used during firing...the lip is bout 1/2 inch..6-3/4 round...
