🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Artist Id & Meaning

Just got these two etchings and the first one with woman holding child just looks weird and I'm sure the artist had a special meaning for this. Second one is of Doge Palace in Venice. Any thoughts on what the first etching may represent and if possible the artists id which may prove to be difficult as they may not be well known.

The first one looks like a surrealist 'Madonna and Child' to me. The signature seems to be 'Ricardo', which doesn't ring any bells, although there are a number of South American surrealists with that (Christian) name.

Again you nailed it Red-Coat Madonna and Child it is and I will follow up on your suggestion of South Americans Surrealists.
The second one is going to be tough to get as the "scribble" is hard to read..
