Some friends and I made a quick stop at an old home site and I'm glad we did. I found this great artillery button listed in Albert's button book AY36. It's in great shape considering how long it's been in the ground, but the shank is broke off the back. Also found the flat button and a ton of canslaw. Then I found this neat brooch at another home site.

I'd like to find the 2nd and 3rd regiments now. I don't think this site will be here much longer. They are building a subdivision over the spot now. Might all ready be gone. :BangHead:
