Natural rock, look for signs of finds being worked 1st, shape is the last thing to consider, mother nature can form any shape known to man.

It definitely has the rudimentary shape of a small celt or even a pestle, but shows very little (if any) wear at the bit end. Context would help tremendously. Was this found in an area devoid of rocks, or are there plenty of natural stones in the area? Treasure Hunter is correct, Mother Nature creates a lot of intriguing shapes.

It has the shape, but pictures doesn't show any pecking or signs of any wear I could see.

Your gonna eventually find something... I think you'd have better luck if you'd find a field somewhere to hunt! Something plowed up. Not sure where your from but here in Alabama they're are plenty of clear cuts around. And since the land is pretty messed up anyways most people don't care if you look around. I've had alot of luck hunting clear cuts. Especially around the start of spring..
