Artifact or just a rock?

While out searching for fossils we came across this rock. The whole goes through it diagonally and is so close to being a complete circle it looks manmade. What I was wondering was do we actually have something or just a neat coincidence? If so what would it be?

If there was a fairly large body of water in the area (or river), very possibly a net weight.
