There was a lot found on this particular outing. The artifacts on the top were all found in DC, while the ones on the bottom are Virginia. There were a lot of dolls found this go around, which is creepy, but it’s over a century old so I’m going to keep them. Some really nice bottle tops were found as well, a cool stone carved plate (small), a couple of Avon white glass jars, and really cool buckle to a piece of clothing. The buttons and electrical components were cool as well, and quite a few of the electrical artifacts had the dates printed on them. I think they’re old spark plug pieces, which are really common to find.
The full haul:
The ceramic doll head is a cool find, as is the plate and the buckle. Just a really nice hunt in general.
Some of the dates that I saw on this spit fire Mitchells were 1898 - 1902 - 1903
The dates on this particular spark plug were 1911. This one was in really good condition with the copper color still preserved.
This was a really fun outing as usual, I love to get more artifacts. I’m really hoping to get around to metal detecting at some point but until then, I’ll enjoy the trash I get!
