Hello everyone it's been awhile and hunting season is here again (for flint that is). The first pic. is everything I found on Monday of this week and I was the first one to the creek and it was a good day. The second pic. is what I found today after someone else had already been there. I don't know how he missed it because it's 4+inches but I'm glad he did. Thanks for looking and hope to have more for ya'll real soon. Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving!
Sincerly,
? Badandy

Beautiful Points!! Is it common to find them in the streams there? I use to hunt them here, but we found them on the ground. Really liked looking for them, especially after a good rain. I found a nice one like yours, intack once. About 4 inches too, but it was black. Points that size, we always considered them to be spear points. I really liked the little ones that were made for bird. HH

HI guy, nice finds. I haven't been able to get out hunting for arrowheads lately, but hope the weather breaks here in ohio and I can do some hunting. As a reliic hunter I'm alwyas looking at the ground. I love hunting for arrowheads and hammers. This fall I found a small childs axe. If you want I"ll try to send you a picture/ HH ringfinder

I really like the one point! I wouldn't know where to look around here for them. I suppose I could do research into native americans in this area, and I just might do that. Or I might not, whatever happens! :D

By the way, you're out walking in a creek...do you have waders on or something? It has to be freezing!

Yes it's quite cold but I love to look for artifacts so I just tough it out! I'll even go if there's snow on the ground, when it comes to artifact hunting I'm a madman!

Those are sweet! Nice points. Tsgman

Nice finds. I have only found 2 arrow heads in 35yrs of hunting, but I always keep an eye open for them while hunting CW relics. trk5capt...

Cool arrowheads!!

Can you tell the difference between arrowheads made awhile back and if someone took a piece of flint and if someone chipped one last week? If so, how?

unless the guy making the new ones is really good at it they are pretty easy to tell apart.......artifacts are just that...old....most arrowheads, scrapers and points, will look old.....most will not be perfect, and some may even have stuff growing on them...yes i have a couple of these....the sharp edges will be dulled by time in most cases.....and there will be dirt and wear on the finer edges of the artifacts.....i knapp as well as collect and i still cant get my pieces to look like the originals....those guys really knew what they were doing...they had to there lives depended on it. hope this helps.

Thanks for clearing up about older arrowheads. I've seen an expert making arrowheads, and when you have the proper tools and knowhow, they come out really good. He also made a bunch of weird stuff too, like arrowheads out of television glass and stuff...fun stuff.

Wow! That arrowhead is INCREDIBLE! I used to hunt them on our farm as a kid but I never found one close to that size.
