It is an arrowhead for sure. It appears to be made of quartzite and is an archaic stemmed point.

Arrowhead, and without knowing your location I?d say it originated from somewhere between Alabama and South Carolina.

Yes, it is. A common material used in the Southeast.

Not be nit-picky but the true definition is projectile point... depending on the size,if Archaic good chance it is an atlatl dart point..True arrowheads weren't developed until the last 2000 years on the North American Continent..most arrow points were light-weight in design..
