Found this in my grandfathers things. We live right near the Susquehanna river in PA where there was a lot of Native American activity. Any info is appreciated, thanks in advance.

No there is not but he lived next to the Susquehanna his whole life so I'm assuming that it's from essentially our back yard.

There isn't alot of basal notched points from that area.
I would probably type that as an Eshback... 5,500- 3,500 BP.

It looks to me to match the material and style of basel notched points from right there in P.A.

Pennsylvania Jasper comes in shades from orange to brown..grey to almost black.

Nice piece there! Don't think about the $$ value. From what I can see, it's not perfect-- it has some damage to it. BUT, the material is great, and I think Gator Boy has it on type. You might try your hand at finding some of your own! And if you do, good luck- check that river. You're in the heart of things there. Yak
