I only have one. I think my guys were stuck in the stone age. This one was gifted to me by a good friend, Larson.

Very nice shaft straightener. I have never found one of those but have found several abraders.

Where was this one found?

It was in my Uncles estate, and I can only guess. It could be Chumash from the San Luis Obispo, Calif. area, or from northern California, but I wouldn't know exactly where.

That is about the only thing on my wish to find list. Being a traditional/primitive bowhunter, a shaft straightener would fit right in with my show an tell. I must have 30 mano's and everytime I would pick one up I would hope there would be a groove on the otherside, NOT.

Very nice find you have there.

Florida sandstone. The other is for bone pins.

Here's some from the site we hunt. Most are sandstone but there are also a few granite.

Sadly Bosnmate passed away 3 years ago... :sad10:

Steve ''Larson 1951'' passed away March 15, 2015. I really miss the gentleman.
