Hi all,
Just a follow up; since I had a lot of weekend finds at the in-laws, I am posting the Armani I found on the beach separately here:

It was running when I found it, but since stopped. The two buttons above/below the winder are frozen with sand. The band needs a new pin but is all there. I may take it for appraisal tomorrow (I have a coupon for 10% above appraised value from a local jeweler). If I like the price, I'll probably sell it to the jeweler.

Hope it's not a knock-off! Sure is sweet looking! Great find!

Just as I thought, it's mine. Matches my earlier description to a tee. I'd like it back.

PM me, I'll send you my address.

Twistidd is just Joe king, it's mine :icon_pirat: Let me know a good time to come pick it up and I'll bring that 5.00 cash reward we talked about.

How did your other hunts go?

Makton

Well,
I've found the exact model, except with a leather band retailing for $325 online. Unfortunately our jeweler's entry level watch is a Tissot and most their business is with Rolex. The reply I got is "I don't know this brand" and descriptions of costume. Of course, that was from a high end place. I was also told it'd cost $85 for them to repair it. Makton, your $5 is sounding good. Actually, I plan to open it up and see if I can repair it and get a new pin. Then maybe go somewhere that will take it or it will be a Christmas gift to someone.

:D :D. . . it's still a cool watch . . . better than the "not ticking" Timex I found :tongue3:

Yeah, the stainless AR0315 chrono is anywhere from 325 bucks up to 400 bucks. I'd get that thing fixed and wear it out. I've dug about 30 working watches over the years, half a dozen Mickey M.'s among them but only two, a Seiko and an Elgin topped the 100 dollar mark, and not by much.
