found a ring at a local school from the 60's, expected it to be a piece of junk costume jewelry until I cleaned it up and did a gold test last night... after suspecting it may be copper I dropped some HCL and nothing happened. I dipped a small section in the same acid and after an hour nothing happened. I still suspect it's copper with gold/brass plating but I saw the hallmark "12" on each section, leading me to wonder if it's 12k or it may just be the model number for assembly.
I fastened a piece of copper wire to the fingertip since it was missing when I found it. Registers as 73-75 range on my AT Pro
