ARIZONA???

Greetings. For those who live in AZ or have significant experience there... I am researching areas in AZ to nugget hunt (MD). The Plomosa and Dome Rock Mountains appear to strike a balance for gold history/mining and being "off the beaten path." In the past I would establish a base camp and hike/backpack into areas to hunt/prospect (panning/using a MD). My question: Given my approach are the Plomosa and Dome Rock Mountain areas good bets? Or, do you have other suggestions? Thanks.

My tip not ever detecting in AZ and keeping with the off the beaten path is to not be afraid of detecting in the most unusual places or even angles of moving the detector coil that are difficult for others.

It is likely that not every foot of ground is covered in the Plomosa and Dome Rock areas with a metal detector. You could be the first to cover some spots with your metal detector is a good approach.

The important thing is to enjoy yourself and see what happens along the way.

You might want to try another corner of Arizona's Golden Triangle, Rich Hill, in the Weaver Mountains, near Congress, AZ. You might find "Footprints" software https://forums.robsdetectors.com/topic/7038-footprints-mapping-software-a-review/ very helpful for Arizona gold exploration.

Better check the rules / laws about having access on to another persons mineral claim ! another person CAN be on your claim without your permission BUT that person CAN NOT prospect /metal detect or have any of the gold they find on your claim. They can camp on your claim BUT they can not dig (prospect) on your claim and they CAN NOT INTERRUPT / INTERFER WITH YOUR WORK and or operations on your claim . Most people (claim owners don't like it but its there in your book ! If I had a claim , I wouldn't like it either BUT we got to play the cards we are delt
