Found last July in southern Arizona a beautiful gold in quartz specimen.......total weight 4.79 oz troy(149gram). The weight of the gold in the quartz, by using the specific gravity formula, is .67 oz troy (20.7 gram)As pretty as this is I have had no luck selling it.....Pretty as heck anyhow.....

Very, very, sweet Tom- I bet there's STILL stains on them undies to this day..... heheheheh!

tom, great looking gold!!! how did you find them? JOHN

I found this specimen on my last day detecting.....I was demonstrating my Minelab GP Extreme hopeing to sell it that day, I was moving back east and needed a beach detector.....anyhow this was found after about 20minutes detecting in a well beaten area at only about 6" deep....the signal screamed and I would have never dug it had I not had someone wanting to see every target located.....needless to say he bought the detector on the spot!!
