arizona rockhounding

haha ill be sure to kick it before i grab!! im from michigan so the desert is a different ballgame! well my parents have a timeshare in sedona but i will be traveling all around hunting minerals and fossils if possible. payson looks to be a good area?
anyone out there be willing to let me tag along on an outing?
