ARIZONA - Plomosa & Dome Rock Mountains???

Greetings. For those who live in AZ or have significant experience there... I am researching areas in AZ to nugget hunt (MD). The Plomosa and Dome Rock Mountains appear to strike a balance for gold history/mining and being "off the beaten path." In the past I would establish a base camp and hike/backpack into areas to hunt/prospect (panning/using a MD). My question: Given my approach are the Plomosa and Dome Rock Mountain areas good bets? Or, do you have other suggestions? Thanks.
